This Road Show guitar is a Esquire Pro with a closet classic black finish. A really unique feature of this instrument is that the body is made of 100 year old pine, definitely not a common spec found on guitars. The neck has a Cabronita large "C" profile, and the guitar has the traditional Esquire single pickup layout, loaded with an Abby Ybarra handwound Twisted Tele in the bridge. You might ask why the Esquire has a 3-way pickup switch when the guitar only has a single pickup. In the bridge position, the pickup is routed through the volume only, no tone control. In the middle position the pickup is routed through both the volume and tone controls, and in the neck, the pickup goes through a fixed treble-reducing capacitor which gives the guitar a darker, more bass heavy tone.
