I have a gorgeous red G&L Legacy USA guitar here. Made in Fullerton CA. This guitar is a bit unique conditionally because it is a 2006 but if you took a glance at you would think it's a 2016. It has been kept in it's case when not in use and that goes a long way in keeping the finish work, and metal hardware looking glossy and lustrous. It was played carefully so it does not have any buckle rash or playwear i can find or catch in pictures. I can only find one small impression that does not break the finish, in the bottom edge of the guitar. See pics for condition. It's really a beauty. It really sounds good. I find that the build quality is a little better than the other famous S style guitar company. These G&L standards are more comparable to a Custom shop or at least Deluxe series strat. The tone is a little more transparent. There is excellent clarity and chime in their sound. The bridge pickups has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan lil 59. And the pot for that was upgraded to a larger value to accommodate that a humbucker as the lil 59 is a single coil sized true humbucker. The original pickup and original pot is also included as well as the original box for the Duncan. Now as to the sound of this pickups. It really makes for a versatile lineup on this guitar. As i stated early the G&L pickups are clean and glassy sounding. They sound phenomenal with clean tones. And i use the middle and neck more on this guitar than on other's because you can still get an articulate tone without any of the mud that you often get in those positions. The duncan pickup is warmer by far in the bridge, and is has a more blended 3D sound. It is not as focused and tight as the G&L's it is looser and it also has much better tone with higher gain. Gain generally works best on the bridge pickup. So when you want to rock a bit you have the power, and the warmth to do so with the bridge position. And when you want chime , and perfect note separation on leads you have the neck and middle. It's a great versatile guitar with this setup. The original case is included and it's in great shape to. And all the original paperwork as seen. There are cheaper G&L Legacy's out there. My price is reflective of the condition and complete state of this guitar. When i buy a used guitar i look for one like this in this sorta shape. Thanks for reading and considering.Ships fully insured in a new rectangular box, with the strings detuned and some padding as shock absorber.
