Gibson Guitar - Sunburst ES-335 owned by Buddy Knox - Own a  SERIOUS piece of Rock and Roll / Rock-a-Billy history. This guitar was owned and used in concerts and recordings by Buddy Knox. Some of his hits were - Party Doll, Hula Love, Rock Your Little Baby To Sleep, Devil Woman, I think I'm Gonna Kill Myself, Cause I'm In Love With You, Lovey Dovey, Swinging Daddy, All By Myself, Endless Sleep, Somebody Touched Me, C'Mon Baby, Storm Clouds, Open Your Lovin' Arms to name a few. The List goes on and on. According to Gibson serial numbers, the guitar was manufactured between 1965 and 1968. The guitar has been used for years by Buddy and sounds incredible! One of the original tuners has been replaced on the 4th string. As you can see from the photo, the 3rd fret block pearl inlay is missing because Buddy used a capo in that position quite often. Where the capo was attached at the 3rd fret, there is an indenture on the back of the neck, which does not hurt the playability.. The guitar has the original strap that Buddy used, which you can see from the photo. Also you can see in the photo, the little hearts on the tailpiece and the pick guard. Also, in one of the photos, you can see his set lists that he used in concert, which there are 3 set lists. He kept them in the case. The guitar has the original warranty card signed by Buddy which he never sent in. It has his signature on the warranty card. This guitar has one more feature on it, Scotty Moore, who was a dear friend, played this guitar, so naturally, I got him to sign the pick guard. The guitar is not only a huge piece of Rock And Roll / Rock-A-Billy history, but plays and sounds like a dream. It has the original case.
