Ormsby Guitars - Factory Customised TXGTR 'Carbon' Wasteland 6 string Multiscale We decided to trial doing a new finish we were thinking of for our GTR Series of instruments,. The trial was ultimately successful, but unfortunately too time consuming to offer as a regular finish on our GTR Series instrument made for us by our partners at World Musical Instruments in South Korea. It's a shame, because we would have loved to offer this as an option :( How was it done? We started with a "Run 2" Alder bodied TXGTR 'Carbon' models, and applied the metal matrix, and then aged the finish before sealing the patina under a satin/matte clear coat. We then added one of our own handmade bridge pickups (see specs below), and a 500k volume, with 500k push/pull (coil split) tone control and three way toggle. Whilst we use real iron and copper to achieve this finish, the quantity used is so minimal it has zero effect on the sound, tonality or sustain of the instrument. SPECIFICATIONS: DIMENSIONS The fanned arrangement of the Multiscale fretboard creates scale lengths for each individual string. We generally call this the "spread". For the GTR range, the spread is as follows: Six string: 25.5" - 27.5" Multiscale Due to the increased scale length on the bass side, the tension of the strings increases. We recommend you try dropping a gauge on the bottom end, for example, if you usually use 9-46's, try 9-42's. For comparison, Jacksons, Ibanez RG, Fender Strats, etc are generally 47mm. Neck shape: 20.3mm @ 1st, 22 @ 17th, D shape with round shoulders. AKA "thin U" HARDWARE: The bridges are custom made for us to exacting tolerances by our partners at Hipshot, using a variety of materials proven for longevity and tone. Hipshot machineheads (locking). TONE: HypeGTR: Our own Nunchucker A8 Humbucker (Handmade by us) features pride of place in the bridge position, with an Old School + A5 (Handmade by us) in the neck. 500k pots for volume, a 3 way toggle, and 500k push/pull tone pot for coil splitting. Bone nut. FINISH: "Wasteland" with genuine carbon fibre pickguard.WHAT'S INCLUDED:Obviously, a guitar :) But you'll also get an Ormsby moulded hardcase. Construction: Bolt-on

Description: A moderate output humbucker designed for blues, rock, punk and metal. The output is low enough to retain clarity, but hot enough to drive your amplifier. We use steel adjustable slugs for a tiny bit more bite. Our most poplar bridge pickup for rock, hard rock, and metal styles.
We use 42awg wire, tight scatterwound and wax potted, with 1018 steel pole pieces, and proprietory adjustable slug poles on the other side. Four conductor wiring standard so you can really get creative with how you choose to wire it up.Old School + (Neck) Output level: 6.4k neck
Magnet options: AlNiCo 5
