Description
String Configuration: 12 String Model: Vintage
Series: Vintage Exact Year: 1965
Brand: Martin

One of the earliest of the first Martin 12 strings made! This is a very easy to play, inspiring guitar that sounds great. This guitar has great, low action and plays easily tuned to standard E (not tuned down). It was set up two years ago and hasn't changed since. It holds tune extremeley well (I have played it regularly and only have to tune every couple months - no kidding!). It's in very nice condition ... no warping of the pick guard or anything (rare, early tortioseshell too). It also sounds really good, very deep with lots of low-end and projection. This guitar may need a neck reset at some point. The bridge has been shaved and has some non-original (but very old and stable) hold-downs on the underside ... which seems to have kept the bridge from lifting over the years). I didn't go with a neck reset because the guitar plays and sounds so good as it is (I've owned it for 2 years) ... I personally would wait until the playability is affected. It has a couple of small sections that were touched up over the years ... the normal dings you would expect on a 50+ year old guitar that has been played.Comes with newer (non-Martin) hardshell case. Please note this is a vintage Item sold as is with no returns.Overall, it's a solid vintage Martin that sounds and plays great!
