It is a high-end line of the initial PRS, a popular model, Artist-I arrived in second hand.
Although there is a dent of about 3 mm at the center of the body top and paint defects at the tip of the head, it is a good condition that kept the beautiful state that I made it to be made in 1991 unexpected.From the end of the 1980s to the beginning of 1991, this was the Artist Series that appeared in 1991 after receiving Signature, which was manufactured as a high-end line early in PRS.
Approximately 500 books of the original Artist - I were produced by 1993, but this is the first stage of that.
Adopting Special Thin Finish of very thin paint, adopting Brazilian Rosewood (Hakaranda) as the only finger board on the series, it is a superb model made with other materials of extremely high grade.The model is made with the PRS Custom Shop which leads to the current Private Stock team, and its success is exhausted as one word.
Mr. Bonnie Lloyd also famous for being the origin of Bonnie Pink color that was in charge of the final check.It is characterized by adopting artist-grade maple on the body top, South American mahogany for both body material and neck material, and wide phat for neck shape.
Even if it is called wide-fat, it is never too thick with a grip comfort close to the current pattern neck, bringing comfortable performance and a certain bass.The signature of the bird inlay of the finger board, the signature of the headstock adopts the avalon shell, adopting the hakaranda also to the head stock and the truss rod cover besides the finger board, we are enhancing the overall luxury feeling.You can not overlook the adoption of wing pegs of the features of the initial model and the adoption of Artist Treble & Bass, which is a pickup dedicated to this series.
The control is equipped with 1 volume, 1 tone and 5 way rotary switch.
The pickup combination of the 5-way rotary switch is also different from the current one.
The heavy blue color named "INDIGO" is not faded as good as to say it at all, and keeps miraculous condition although there are fine scratches.
