This is a Hofner CS Galaxie. Although the previous owner swears it is from the 60’s…I can’t verify that – and I’ve tried. A pic is included of the pick guard pulled away to see the fading that has taken place which speaks of some sort of age. If anyone reading this can offer an info/insight on the date of this guitar, it would be welcomed.Moving on…The guitar is in great condition. Intonation is spot on - kind of impressive. It comes with a (nice) soft shell case – not original. The vibrato is sort of…interesting. It works, but it doesn’t screw in. There aren't any threads for it to screw in. Just realized I didn't get a pic of it.The guitar sounds great. Lot of chime and sparkle.Frets are in great condition. Here are some specs:Circuitry Type - 1x volume, 1x tone, 3-way toggle pickup selector

Here is part of a review from Musicradar (12-26-2014) written by Jonathan Horsley…"The Galaxie was one of Höfner's more popular models in the 60s, but it's also one of its weirdest. However, in some respects, it is reassuringly familiar...Within the context of the electric guitar, the Galaxie's DNA has plenty of Californian double-cut written into its genetic code. It, too, has a 648mm (25.5-inch) scale."That mini-humbuckers sound great, rounding off the sharpness of single coils, with more chime to the cleans" The Galaxie's satin-smooth maple neck is bolted on to a basswood body that looks not unlike a more asymmetrical S-style body. But from the three-humbucker configuration to the Höfner vibrato unit, it's a different beast. The Galaxie comes fitted with three Hofner Nova-Sonic 511B 'Staple' mini-humbuckers, each individually switchable with on/off switches seated adjacent to the pickup. It's quirky, an endearingly antique way of doing things,..."I only accept payment through paypalFREE SHIPPINGAny questions?
