1960s Gibson Mystery Maker
The one, the only, the Elite Stratocaster. Built in the early 80s these guitars had some appointments similar to a normal Strat as well as some appointments that catered to the rockers from the era. This 83 Elite is overall in great shape and sounds fabulous. Great playability up and down the neck. Cool Strat! Comes with the original hardshell case.   - See more at: http://www.vintageandrare.com/product/Fender-Elite-Stratocaster-1983-Elite-Sunburst-25645#sthash.kJCQRHTr.dpufThe one, the only, the Elite Stratocaster. We call this one the Mystery Maker! Here we have a 1959 – 1961 Gibson Melody Maker with in a sunburst refin. This guitar has a laundry list of mods so bare with me here. The guitar started its life as a single pickup, single cut Melody Maker and was routed for another pickup as well as some other routing under the guard to convert it to a dual pickup. The pickups both appear vintage but all other electronics are replaced as is the pickguard, plastic, and all hardware. The input jack was moved to the side of the body as well. There is an old headstock repair under the refin which is sturdy and structurally sound. The guitar has also been refretted. Now that we have that all out of the way, this is an excellent playing and sounding guitar and if you don’t mind mods this is a GREAT way to get into a vintage Gibson for well under $1,000. No case with this one.
