This Eastman ar372ce Hollow Body has been recently upgraded with Seymour Duncan Seth Lover Humbucker Pickups. She is stringed with .12 D'Addario Chrome flat wounds with a low precise smooth action. Plays like a dream plus sounds rich, deep and warm with only gentile use in my smoke-free home. Includes OHSC, original pickups and certificate of authenticity. This archtop looks striking as in more vintage quality instruments and has no playing or functionality issues. In very good condition with little play wear. Has some checking in the thin lacquer clear coat but hard to see with normal lighting or in pics. If you want to keep miles off a collectible guitar are a student or just want a Hollow Body guitar this is the players valued choice for Jazz. Shipping is to the lower 48 States. I've played and owned Gibson, Guild & Ibanez archtops, this guitar does it all. The Seymour Duncan (PAF Seth Lover) pickups were professional installed and set-up. Until 2004 a guitarist searching for an archtop guitar like those played by the jazz legends had to be rich, take out a loan, or settle for an inferior copy. That dilemma ended a decade ago when Eastman began selling high-quality archtops for a fraction of the price of the period's competition. "A new day has dawned on the world of carved-top jazz guitars," declared Guitar Player magazine, and other reviews followed suit. Writing about the Eastman AR371CE,(single PU version) Premier Guitar raved: ". . .plays like a dream, and has a rich, complex sound that will satisfy the staunchest jazz purist and the most adven-turous rocker alike." PICKUPSDesigned jointly by Seymour and humbucker inventor, the late Seth Lover. Just like the original 1955 P.A.F.s, the SH-55 utilizes a nickel silver cover and long-legged nickel silver bottom plate, butyrate plastic bobbins, plain enamel wire, Alnico 2 bar, wooden spacer, and black paper tape. To be completely true to the original design and tone, the pickup is not wax potted. The tone is vintage P.A.F.
