PLEASE CALL US TOLL FREE FOR AN IN-HAND DESCRIPTION1-800-800-0087 What makes this guitar special: A Custom Shop special through and through, this 1956 Journeyman Stratocaster is outfitted to be a perfectly worn-in player with some great aesthetic touches and overall playability. At its heart, this guitar gets many of its core design elements from the highly-regarded Eric Clapton signature and features a Clapton-style single-ply white pickguard, V-shape neck and a trio of Vintage Noiseless pickups. Aesthetically, it’s a classic Black Strat that’s been kicked up a notch with the addition of a nitrocellulose finish and a Journeyman package that gives it a timeless and well-loved look that, in the case of the neck wear, also improves the overall playability. Even with an all-maple v-shape neck that’s slightly thicker than the average modern profile, this guitar still weighs in under 8 pounds thanks to its select alder body, giving it excellent neck-to-body balance as well. Plus, it’s still in outstanding shape for a used guitar, includes its original case and case candy, and comes with a professional in-house setup so it plays beautifully straight out of the case. Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in near mint condition. Outside of the purposeful relic work that straight out of the factory, there are few if any signs of playwear, leaving this guitar in incredibly good condition for a used piece. The frets show almost no signs of wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod and electronics have all been fully tested and are functioning perfectly. Body: Double cutaway contoured light weight ash body in Journeyman package Black nitrocellulose finish. Clapton-style single-ply white pickguard. White top hat control knobs. Classic Player chrome-plated vintage-style 6-saddle tremolo bridge. Blocked trem with all 5 springs installed. Neck: 10/56 V-shape quarter sawn maple neck with lightly-tinted nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which is removed from the 1st (.880” depth) to the 12th (.980” depth) fret. 9.5” radius maple fingerboard with micarta dot inlays. 1 11/16” bone nut. Fender vintage-style tuning machines. Sanko 6150 frets. Electronics: Fender NF Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups. 1 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.
