Gibson Custom Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Goldtop w/OHSC Serial Number 094 This guitar is in on trade and was aged at the factory for a distressed look. We can't find any evidence of additional wear and tear. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. "For me to be myself, I have to play a Les Paul. I plug it in and it sounds like me—exactly the way I’m supposed to sound. His distinct interpretation of the blues, and his extraordinary guitar skills, have earned him a fitting a tribute from the Gibson Custom Shop—the new Joe Bonamassa Aged Les Paul Goldtop. This guitar blends several cool concepts that have popped up on LP's over the years. We have the classic Goldtop Finish, most commonly associated with the 1957 LP, though introduced in 1952 on the earliest LP's. We have a Black back to get the Gold to really pop. The back of the neck is painted black as well. Grover tuning pegs are factory installed. The Plastic Parts are all black to up the contrast even further. On the bridge, we have 3 Steel Saddles and 3 Nylon on the plain strings. The strings are wrapped over the tail piece as Joe specified for this model. Not only is this a visually striking instrument, it plays like a dream. The chunky neck feels like a Super Chunky 59' profile. Big n' Chunky and certainly helping the resonance and sustain this instrument is capable of. Loaded with the Burstbucker 2&3, this beauty has more output than your typical Goldtop which only adds to the singing, cutting, sustain-filled tones this guitar is capable of.
