Description
1) Serial #s are Bass drum- 257052, rack tom- 257132, floor tom-257174. This kit is as close to sequential numbers as you can get! These drums were born together. These are not orphans.2) All white interiors, drums are in round and the heads lay properly on the bearing edges loosely and tune like they are supposed to IMO:) All t-rods and claws, lugs along w/tension rods are original. Better than average condition overall. Pretty darn clean IMO. ALL seams are tight and no lifting!! Bass Drum hoops are original and unpainted. VGC with no dry rotting or crackling. Inlays are original and tight on hoops. All toms have the original baseball felt mufflers. There is still plenty of blue left in the wrap as you can see from the pics. There is still lots of shine on the wrap. Floor tom legs are original and very clean. They are shortys or the short style. The rack tom and floor tom are original with no holes or modifications.3) The tom mount on the rail is not original. It is a 70s era Ludwig. Just a bit longer, which suits me fine because Im a bit taller. The screws that bolt the rail down are not original.4) There are some normal scuffs/scratches on the wraps. It appears to me that a cigarette burn spot is off to the side of the keystone badge on the bass drum. There is light cracks around the burn spot but are tight against the drum with no lifting (see pics).5) At sometime the owner had changed the bass drum mounts to a modern mount but had saved the originals. There are 2 small holes, 1 above and 1 below each bass drum mount. They are much smaller and barely noticeable. You could plug the holes easily if you wanted?? If this bothers you there are kits out there for sale that are $300-$700 more. Me personally, I would save the money and not let the small holes bother me. The drums still sound great:) Bass drum sounds great wide open without any muffling!I have tried to accurately describe this kit the best I can. THIS IS A PLAYERS GRADE and not a Perfect SPECIMAN. Please do not purchase and try to Hustle me on "not being represented properly". I have had many Ludwig kits and these Blue Oyster Pearl wraps are getting rarer as the days go by. They sound fantastic w/a wide tuning range for style suitability and are super cool. All wraps are tight against drums and there is no lifting on seams or edges as I recently stated.as always NO RETURNS ACCEPTED:) If you have ???s plz ask. Intl ship ok but rate will vary on location. It will not be cheap to ship internationally so please do your homework before purchasing.
