FENDER CUSTOM SHOP STRATOCASTER 1954 50TH ANNIVERSARY MASTERBUILT BY DENNIS GALUSZKA - 2004 This is a 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Stratocaster, Masterbuilt by Dennis Galuszka. In honour of the 50th Anniversary of the Stratocaster, the Masterbuilders from Fender's Custom Shop in 2004-05 took on the task of each separately building faithful and accurate reproductions of the original Stratocaster from 1954. Each Masterbuilder built up to 50 of these guitars. The limited number of Masterbuilders at the Custom Shop in 2004 and early 2005 meant that a limited number of these incredibly accurate reproductions were made. They are faithful replications made with the same exacting detail as the original instruments, using many of the same machines and manufacturing methods used 50 years ago. Every deep body contour, pickup magnet and screw is a replica of a 1954 Strat. Fender even went as far as to have pre-CBS Fender® employee, Roger Centeno, stamp each tremolo cover plate with the original die.The finish and body contours also match the original exactly. There are also features and details that have yet to be seen on a reproduction, including the unique knobs, switch tip, pickguard, tremolo cover plate and pickup covers that have been retooled and manufactured using the exact formulas and materials that were used on the original parts. Also included are the original bridge saddles, which have been replicated, the original synchronized tremolo with “ash tray” bridge cover and bone nut. The 1954 Stratocaster's distinctive rounded head, neck shape at the time, shapes of plastic parts, etc. are reproduced.
Since these guitars were meant to look like they were from 1954, they have lacquer checking and some very light relicing to the taste of the master builder to give the guitar that 50 year old "closet classic" look and feel. Fender Custom Shop spared no expense to make these guitars accurate and amazing - see the Certificate of Authenticity in the photo array as it tells the story and it is signed by Masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka. The story of this Limited Release by the Custom Shop is also told at pages 458-464 of the "Dream Factory" book which is all about the creations of the Fender Custom Shop. Features: Body: two-piece select swamp ash with offset glue seam Neck: one-piece comfortable "U" shape maple neck each master builder shaped to his specifications Fingerboard radius: 7.25 " Pickups: Custom wound '54 pickups made to the specs of each master builder which are custom reproductions of the original 1954 pickups. Bone nut Weight: about 3.4 kg
Case: brown period correct poodle case Small skirt knobs ‘Football’ selector switch COA (see photo) I recently had a luthier do a complete set-up on her and she plays like a dream, The guitar has no breaks, modifications, repairs or any other ‘issues’. The guitar is in excellent condition with little to no fret wear. Pick up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches (near Manly), Sydney CBD or I can ship Australia wide at cost. I am experienced at packing and shipping guitars. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks please contact me first for making an offer or using the ‘Buy it now’ function.
