1969 Vintage Gibson SG Standard Electric Guitar Cherry W/ Maestro Tremolo & CaseThe Gibson SG is a solid body electric guitar model that was introduced in 1961 (as the Gibson Les Paul) by Gibson and remains in production today with many variations on the initial design available. The SG Standard is Gibson's best selling model of all time. Players like Frank Zappa, Angus Young, Derek Trucks, Tommy Iommi and many more have made the SG famous, standing the test of time in Rock N' Roll. One of the characteristics worth mentioning is the 60s slim tapered neck that becomes more substantial in width as your hand glides up the neck of the guitar, really giving you room to dig your fingers into the fret board. Topped with a RW fretboard for deeper, richer tone. Complete with small-block pearloid inlays with vintage class, this Gibson SG solidbody electric guitar delivers the goods.There are no structural issues. This guitar shows some finish checking but is still a true beauty. Overall sound, and playability are just some of the many reasons i fell in love with this guitar. The neck has an amazingly fast slim taper feel and kicks out to a little fatter 50's feel starting around the 10th fret. Original pots pickups etc original case. At some point a stop bar was fitted so you have the option to use it with or without the vibrola . Possible part exchange. Don't miss out on this one really nice player.
