Historical Heckel Biebrich No.3989 German bassoon owned by the famous bassoon player Erich Wolschke from the Austrian philharmonic orchestra. The silver mounted rings and two key guards are marked "Erich Wolschke". The bassoon is completely restored. The pads and corks are new. Excellent playing condition. All the parts are original and are marked with "Heckel Biebrich" logo. Free of cracks on the wood or damages. Modern pitch- 442Hz. Original oil based Heckel varnish in good condition and beautifully aged, made of alpine maple wood, 19 silver plated keys, length- 133.4cm., biggest bore-32.5mm. Smaller bore-25.5mm. A sweet highly resonant sound, characteristic of the best older Heckel bassoons. Very good intonation. Free blowing sound in all registers. This bassoon is suitable for professional playing.
