This piece is attic fresh and a real rarity. We couldn't find anything about this particular model so We brought it to the local guitar guru. He said it was the oldest Teisco he has ever seen or held. Based on the construction he said it is definitely 1950s but what is unusual is they weren't badging guitars just Teisco until late 1959? And that was the J-1 and J-2 model which this is neither of. (Feel free to correct us if we're wrong). The strangest thing is the pick ups. We couldn't find another set of pick ups that have Teisco on them like these do. We could find the tail piece on the early j models. What we concluded with the little knowledge we have is that this is a 1950s Teisco which may predate the J models that the USA first saw. This could be a Japan release and this guitar found its way over to America, or it is a prototype that was given to salesman who showed guitar store owners the instrument but this one was not taken to too well. The feedback may have led to the J-1 model which looked more like a les Paul and did not have these pickups. This is a fantastic piece and we would love for someone to restore this rare guitar as I do not haventhe knowledge or know how to do so. It has not been tested as there are no bridge to string it. Please feel free to request more knowledge of condition as it is rough or ask for more pictures. If you have knowledge of this exact model please feel free to correct and educate us. Measurements
