AKG started the production of the dynamic large diaphragm mic D12 in the fifties. It was designed as vocal microphone but the sixties when it started that drums got microphones it became the most sought after and most famous kick drum mic.
The bEatles used the D20 for the kick drum and bass amp but the onlky difference is the switchable low cut in the D20. The capsule is the same in D12 D20 D25 D30 ....
This piece has the standard impedance of 200 Ohms.
A lot of D12 lost their bass response over the years. Not this one !!! It has a rich and warm bass and the condition is MINT !
It has an XLR connector at the end of the cable which is the only not original part as the XLR was not invented then...
This is an all time classic in outstanding condition !!!
