Hi all,For sale is my Highway One USA Jazz bass. This was bought at Reidy's in Blackburn in either 2003 or 2004, I can't quite remember but it has been gigged consistently since then. As you can see there's some wear to the finish (it was a 'thin-skin' finish so was designed to wear quickly, or so I've read..) and the fretboard but the bass is spot on in terms of intonation, sound and playability. It was last used in a studio in January where the producer is a tuning fascist and there was no problems. No fret buzz or anything. It's a cliche but this bass really does play itself with a great deal of "mojo" and "vibe".This was before the upgraded series so it doesn't have the greasebucket circuit but I did replace the pots and wiring with CTS back round 2011 and they all work fine with no crackle. I also replaced the bridge with a Gotoh 201-4B which really improved it as a player. The original will be included in the sale for the buyer to replace if desired. Serial number is in the pictures which dates to 2003. Presently strung with DR Sunbeams which are fantastic strings. Also comes with gig bag.I can't really praise this bass highly enough and it's never let me down in well over ten years of constant use and it will stand up to decades more use for its next owner. Only reason for sale is that it's not been used since January and I've moved over to a Precision along with playing more guitar live and less bass. It'll be sad to part with it as its been with me since I was very young but there's worse things to part with in life. Would be happy to consider a straight trade for a Takamine EF-341 or straight sale.Sent many guitars so will be securely shipped.
