This is a SUPERB Fox Model 101 bassoon. Fox is the best American maker of bassoons and oboes, and the 101 is their flagship model. Fox's manufacturing is excellent. Intonation is very good, action feels good, and the instrument is magnificently voiced to give superb sound and response. This particular one is in outstanding condition. It has the high D key as well as the high E key and a whole mess of rollers and the like (see pics). There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise. Pads and action are outstanding. This bassoon has just been gone over in the shop and is ready to play without further adjustment. Why buy a Fox 240 when you can have a Fox 101 for less? Pics tell the rest of the story!
