Custom-made hurdy-gurdy with many additional features, crafted in 2010 by Wolfgang Weichselbaumer. Original price: 11000 Euros.Model “Tenor”, characteristics and add-ons are the following:3 chanters — c g g'3 drones C/D, E/F, G/A 3 trompettes g/a, e/f, c/d4+4 sympathetic stringsMechanical pegsMetal tangentsA magnetic capo at each drone, a magnetic capo at each trompetteFingerboard under trompettes, fingerboard under dronesAdjustable chanter bridge3 adjustable drone bridgesBuilt-in sound pickups, integrated volume controls and an outer preamplifier (“Pro” system)Soft case – high quality, individually made Has two cracks on the upper deck (see the last 2 photos). After some repairs, adjustment and tuning would make a high-class instrument for intermediate and professional musicians. The instrument hasn’t been played much, it’s in overall good condition (beside cracks). The reason for selling is that I don’t play the hurdy-gurdies anymore and wish to find a new owner for this fine-crafted instrument, someone who’d take care and enjoy its beautiful, deep and vibrant sound.
