Selling one of my series ONE, Highway 1 Strats, They were introduced in 2002 until mid-2005.c.July 2005, HW1’s were ‘upgraded’ to the HW1, series TWO, which resembles 70's-era instruments. Large head-stock, bigger frets, narrower string spacing at the bridge, a steel vibrato block, & nitro-cellulose finish instead of acrylic.Urgh!I consider it an actual downgrade! The head-stock, huge frets, terrible Alnico III ‘hot’ pickups & hot electrics – yawn. I think the first HW1 started to outsell the US standard so was redesigned to make it look & sound less appealing than a US standard. On this one the tuners are solid, neck is straight & neck joint still factory tight, actions good. Few minor nicks, see photos for self-evident condition, but the finish is so thin on these you can see the grain through it so it does mark easy but that’s the whole point of it (it also allows max resonance from the wood) These series one are being recognized and sought after as underestimated truly great guitars. Comes with the hard-case & original case candy. More pics on request as guitars are SO hard to photo. Minor dinks arrowed in pics. UK mainland buyers only
