Beautiful gold mounted cello bow by Armin Schlieps, ca. 1975- great Pernambuco stick- Gold mounted- Perfect weight- 82,5 g- Bow is in very good condition. It is well balanced, has a strong stick and draws a big soloistic sound. A fantastic bow.About the maker:Armin Schlieps (1931–2005), was an illustrious bow maker (Archetier). He was born on June 25, 1931 in Wipuri, Finland. He studied the craft with his father. In 1950 he immigrated to New York City, where he was invited to work for Rembert Wurlitzer as restorer. Soon after in 1952, he established his own shop in Carnegie Hall.
