Here's a great old closet find - what I have determined to be a neck from a 1962 Fender Precision Bass. As you can see from the photos it is in need of some TLC and obviously the rest of the bass!  It came with a beat up old body that also looks like a fender body which I am also selling in a different auction. The two pieces were together but nothing else was with them, no electronics or hardware. Not sure the deal, but I suspect it was a project that never got off the ground. About the neck. The end stamp seems to date it 1962 and verifies it to be a P-bass neck. It has a couple stickers on it. There is what appears to be a crack on the back of the neck by the headstock...see the photos, I took a few of the  same spot. The frets look pretty good to me for the age of the neck but there is some wear if you look close at some of them. The only hardware left is the string tree. No nut. Appears to ready to use. I don't think the repaired neck crack goes deep or affects the integrity...however I have not attempted to attach this or use it and I'm selling it as is for use by you as is. Ask questions and I'll try my best to answer.SHIPPING $14.99
