The Ibanez JEM77, also known as the JEM77 FP (Floral Pattern), is a JEM series guitar model and signature model of guitarist Steve Vai. Features include DiMarzio pickups, a double locking tremolo, fluorescent green vine fingerboard inlays and a special floral pattern finish. The guitar is signed by Steve and the original case is signed by Steve, Dave and Tony.Floral Pattern finishThe Floral Pattern finish of the JEM77 is created with actual floral pattern cloth on the body and headstock. The fabric is glued to the body, the edges are painted black and then fully clear coated. The actual pattern cloth was modeled after the curtains from Steve Vai's parent's home.  This is from the original batch from 88-90 before Ibanez made some design changes to the knob location and hardware (tremolo) and are more collectible than the later versions of the 77FP. Being a 1989 it has the original Edge tremolo, not the Lo Pro. The guitar is very clean overall. The front of the guitar is extremely clean with no dings or scratches, the hardware has some pittage the neck plate, clear plate screws and on one side of the base plate opposite of the tremolo arm. Additionally the pickups are not as faded as most I've seen and the knobs, which are usually worn down to white (they were painted pink by Ibanez) are in really great shape and original. The frets are in great shape. The sides of the guitar are generally very good with nothing on the horns, and only one section on the bottom side that has a small ding (see photo).  Comes with Ibanez hard shell case.  Also included is a beautiful floral pattern high quality strap and a 10 1/2" JEM77FP replica and stand.
