Michael Kelly MK65HBK 1965 Solid-Body Electric Guitar in stunning Hint Black,
Comes with used Hardcase as in pic's,used but still gr8 protection for the guitar,
These are a modern version of a 1965 US Strat by Micheal Kelly guitars,
A swamp Ash body with a Killer Quilted Maple Top with modern Wilkinson bridge
& locking Grovers tuners with Rockfield HSS pickups for the Ultimate in strat tones,
Has a Bird's Eye Maple Top on the headstock with a modern C Maple neck with a
rosewood fretboard and the body has exotic flamed maple for the binding too,
These are quite Rare & the construction n build quality are very impressive,
They were only made for a few years and have now been discontinued as well,
The guitar is in near new condition and has not seen much use at all during its life,
Only ever been played a handfull of times since new and is still in new condition,
would suit a New buyer looking to save sum $$'s comapred to new in the shops,
Only wear at all would be sum very faint pic scratches on the pickguard and
on the back of the body from light use, but you would have to look very hard
for under a light to even notice or find them at all, overall near Mint new condition,
The control knobs have been changed to more traditional strat style ones as well,
This originally has the epic 11 mod with a push/pull volume pot to split the bridge
humbucker & had a 2 way toggle wired into the 5 way to add in the neck pickup,
I find these wiring setups can take output from the pickups so i have removed the
push/pull pot & replaced it with a normal pot & removed the wiring for the toggle,
So now it is a traditional 5 way with normal Vol & tone & sounds much better too,
Removing the push/pull pot & toggle has def opened up the pickups output wise,
The Rockfield pickups have Alnico V magnets and sound great for most styles, great
for country,blues,clean n rock styles, can still do sum metal but much more suited
to cleaner vintage style tones like a american HSS strat in alot of ways tone wise,
Sounds great for that strat style clean tones and texas blues type overdrive tones,
Has received a full service & setup & restrung with D'Addario NYXL 10-46 for the
ultimate in speed tone and playability, action is nice n low & very easy to play,
Neck is a modern C profile and is fast n easy to play with a great smooth feel to it,
Plays n sounds very nice, great HSS strat tones from the Rockfield HSS Pickups,
Overall a very nice high end strat style Micheal Kelly ST65 in new condition,
with Rockfield pickups, locking grover tuners and wilkinson modern bridge,
with an Absolute stunning Quilted Maple Top on a swamp ash body with exotic
flame maple binding on body and a Bird's Eye Maple Top on the headstock too,
setup serviced n restrung with D'Addario NYXL 10-46 for the best in tone,
