This is a 2008 Alvarez Masterbuild Concert "MC1000" handmade classical guitar which retailed for $2199 when it came out. I bought it new in 2008 and have played it less than 25 hours. Near mint condition with no scratches or dings. In 2008 this was one of Alvarez's most expensive classical guitars made by the finest Luthiers in Japan using Alvarez's exclusive design/plans for this model, not the basic/generic plans followed by many builders. Has a solid cedar tight grained top which is a quality one would look for in excellent solid wood tops. Solid Rosewood sides and back with a Rosewood overlay on the headstock. The frets are well fitted and smooth showing almost no use as is the fretboard. The tuners are of excellent quality with Mother of Pearl tuning knobs and work perfect. The body is in mint condition. The rosette is inlaid and looks wonderful. Projection is excellent and plays excellent to the hand. This would make a very nice intermediate instrument to move up to. Comes with the custom Alvarez case that came with the guitar which is in excellent condition with a case hygrometer. Company Press release
