PRS P22 Artist Package, Orange Tiger with Ebony Fretboard, Excellent Condition Stunning 2012 PRS P22 Artist Package in excellent condition. Includes all original case candy with COA (even a PRS magazine with an article featuring the then-new P22). The P22 has the unique combination of LR Baggs piezo pickup system in the adjustable stop-tail bridge that produce acoustic guitar sounds while also featuring 53/10 humbucker style PRS pickups in the normal positions, all of which can be combined or adjusted for an extremely wide range of amazing tones. It has a 25” scale, PRS Phase III locking tuning machines and the PRS Regular Pattern neck profile. This is a Pro’s guitar in excellent condition that is modern enough to be the perfect musical instrument for an accomplished professional or discerning amateur. All electronics work perfectly, no wear (frets, body or neck). As new except for two very small blemishes that can only be seen in high light at a specific angle (photo). PRS Artist Package, an exclusive platform that offers expanded features, options, and colors on select models in the PRS core electric guitar line. Available in 2012 for the first time since 2008, the PRS Artist Package provides thousands of unique combinations and enhanced features for guitarists and collectors alike. This particular P22 Artist Package instrument (serial number 12-190981) came standard with exceptional tone woods, including an artist grade flame maple top (a level above “10 top”), select mahogany back (not ebony as automated Ebay software posted in description!), ebony headstock veneer with inlaid signature, ebony truss rod cover, and premium Mexican ebony fingerboard. 2012 is the first time outside of the Private Stock program that PRS offered Mexican ebony, a wood which, once oiled, turns a beautiful, deep chocolate brown. Options included in this guitar; hybrid hardware (a mix of gold and nickel); a figured maple neck and new Artist Package bird inlays (green abalone with green ripple outlines found only on Mexican ebony fretboards), V12 finish, and an upgrade artist case are also included. The Artist case is particularly stout, fits this specific guitar perfectly, has leather bound ends and heavy duty hardware and lock. As you research prices, please be sure to note the value that the Artist Package brings. Orange Tiger is a striking but tasteful color that is set off by the ebony fretboard/headstock and mixed gold/nickel hardware as seen in the photos. No disappointments! After photos were taken I reinstalled the original PRS gold strap buttons (shown in the picture with all the case candy, lower right corner).
