CONN CONSTELLATION MODEL 28D.Serial #4093xx. Stamped on bell is: C.G.CONN, LTD, CONSTELLATION, ELKHART, USA.This is a professional model DOUBLE FRENCH HORN. The 8D is the common one and is nickel plated I think, whereas the 28D is lacquer over brass and is supposed to be more mellow. The Conn serial # website lists this as a 1952-3 model. You may have better info than I have.Overall the horn is in wonderful condition for its age. The valves and slides area is excellent. There has been dent removal on the bell and I can detect a small split on the outside rim where the majority of the lacquer is missing. ( SEE CLOSE-UP PICTURE OF AREA).The expert repair person said the horn was in wonderful condition but the valve-strings should be adjusted. I will leave that up to the new owner. The mouthpiece is a student model Yamaha I bought at the repair shop. The case is old and been through the travels but still secures the horn which will be shipped in the case, plus outside padding and boxed. The horn and case weigh about 15 lbs.Shipping to North America only by Canada Post and USA Mail if going to the USA.Costs for shipping will be approximately $80 US. $117 Canadian. to California ( for example)Paypal only. This is an auction only item and will sell to the highest bidder. No Reserve. No BUY-IT-NOW.
