Here is a rare 1969 Fender Stratocaster being offered for your consideration. Check out the video demo on youtube by typing in "Vintage 1969 Fender Stratocaster Strat olympic white demo" to see this guitar being played. The guitar sounds and plays great and it's very hard to put down! Custom ordered from Fender sometime in 68 or 69 and with an "A" size neck which is about 1/8 inch narrower then the the "B" size neck. They didn't stamp these necks with a date back then for the custom orders. I saw another one of these just like this one before and it has the "8" on the back bottom of neck with no date where it would normally be. It was sold by a top vintage guitar dealer (I can provide additional info and links if needed). The "8" indicates the neck was made in 68. It currently has a nut with regular spacing that was modified for the "B" neck width. You can always put back a narrow nut if you so choose to do so. The original owner had changed the tuners in the 70's, and now it has period correct F tuners again. The body is refinished, but still shows the original markings, and color in the cavities and neck pocket. The original owner had installed a switch for 5 way switching in the pickguard, but it has been filled and reverted to it's original 3 way glory. The pickups, pots, cap, 3 way switch, pickguard are all original to the guitar. The trem is original but the original saddles were changed out again in the 70's and now aged Fender Pat Pend saddles are on and look perfect. The trem bar is newer. Comes with a nice clean Fender case pictured. The guitar is in very good condition for it's age. The neck has barely any fret ware and feels great. Chunky. This guitar wasn't played much and sat in a case in storage for years and years. Even has a cigarette burn in the right spot! Back of the neck is very nice. The body looks great but has a bunch of finish dings (hard to capture in pictures but they are there mostly on the back). Pickguard has that great dirty aged look. Awesome rare REAL 1969 Fender Stratocaster!
