Description
After several years building and repairing guitars, I need to make some room in my shop. I will be listing several vintage guitars in the next few weeks, so add me to your "SELLERS YOU FOLLOW" section.PROJECT. 1936 Recording King By Gibson. Carson J. Robison, CJR, Model K. This is a 12-fret to the body model, with 1 7/8" nut, 24 3/4" scale, 2 3/16" wide at 12th fret body joint, and the bridge pin spacing is 2 3/8". The finish is in great shape and the logo is very good. The 14 3/4" wide body shape, as well as the interior ladder bracing, is the same as a Kalamazoo KG-14. The tuners are missing and it has 4 back cracks that need attention. There is some impact damage on the treble side by the end pin. I included a close up of that area. It has a small piece of wood missing from the crack. The neck, peg head and the top are in really good condition. There is some bellying behind the bridge, and the nut slot needs to be cleaned up and re-cut. I traded for this with the intention of X-bracing it. My shop is getting too full and I decided I don't have time to do the work. It is a great project, and can be up and playing with just a little effort from your luthier. Please review all the pictures and ask questions, since this one is sold as a project and "AS IS". It will be shipped in a non-vintage chipboard case. It will be packed well for safe shipment.I will ship anywhere in the continental US for $40.00. I will use UPS, Fedex Ground, or USPS, depending on the location that I ship it to
