Description

You are viewing a 1975 Fender Stratocaster in very good condition. Included with it is a tweed case in scuffed and stained condition on the outside, excellent condition on the inside. The guitar weighs 9.75 lbs. The pickups read as follows:
Neck: 5.72 K ohms
Middle: 5.73 K ohms
Bridge: 5.72 k ohms
This guitar is all stock except the pickguard has been changed to black, I will include the original white pickguard. The guitar has been painted around the body with a purple metallic finish, don't know when this was done. It gives it the appearance of being purple, but is really black. When I got the guitar in the late 1980's, it had a 5 way switch that wasn't working properly, I replaced it with a fender brand 3 way switch. I also installed new wiring. The pots and pickups are all original, one pickup has 75 stamped on it, the other two are unreadable. The pickups work nicely. The pots as well, but with light scratchy noise. There is some fret wear, what you might expect from a guitar this age. Some scratches and nicks here and there, but all in all, the guitar is very playable and in good shape. If you look really closely, you can see some checking in the finish on parts of the body and neck. It has the original F style tuners, they don't turn as smoothly as on a new guitar, but the guitar stays in tune. The reason I'm selling: I'm going to pick up a lighter weight stratocaster (this one is a heavy one) without the tremolo, as I never use it. I have heard the hardtail strats are lighter. Shipping to the United States only via insured USPS Priority Mail. Good luck and happy bidding!
