Spectacular U7 HS 1978. Yes, it's Yamaha flagship vertical. It is a 52" upright with a teak-on-teak cabinet (very hard and very reflective). It uses a grand scale design with aggraffes. It features a AAA soundboard and the same hammers used in Yamaha Conservatory Series grand (C3's and bigger). It also has tapered hammershanks, walnut hammer cores, and the same hammerfelt used in C Series grands. Production was very low as it was an expensive model. It's the favorite choice of most of advance players who couldn't fit a grand. Its tone quality is competitive with Yamaha G Series grands. SOSTENUTO PEDAL like grand pianos for great musical performances. The music desk is black (I ordered a wooden-color one to match piano color). This is an outstanding instrument, especially because it is well voiced. Tuned by certified piano tech and found in great shape. His report is available upon request. Do not miss this opportunity!
