This 2002 Gibson Les Paul Jr. Special will make you say "I love you" This is epitome of a 'solid' guitar.  It just feels like the real deal from the moment you pull it out of the case.  Made in the Nashville plant, these LPs are the raddest.  I love early 2000s Gibson as my first *real* guitar was a 2001 Gibson SG 61' Reissue (Mars Music was going out of business,) and I still play that to this day.  I learned to dive in on the instrument on a 60s style mahogany neck and this feels like home.  This guitar falls into speed racer territory in terms of playability (sweeping, bending.) Unfortunately, Gibson doesn't seem to make these guitars like they used to.  Bummer...

You can't go wrong with the all mahogany body and rosewood fingerboard.  This guitar was high quality right out of the factory but you can tell this guitar has been relentlessly upgraded with care.  The knobs were changed out to premium black metal knobs to match the pickup covers and black strap buttons.   For as good as Gibson P90s sound, these pickups sound way better than stock.  Originally these were identified as Lollar's but upon investigation the pickups appear to some sort of stacked P90, which is standard for some LP Jr's, however, they do not have Gibson markings and there was clear soldering work done on the pots to put in new pickups.  I was getting chunky LP tones all the way to slashing SRV-Texas Flood/Albert King bends.  I do not invoke Stevie or Albert's name in vain-- this guitar nails THAT SOUND on the bridge.  I can't emphasize how happy the sound of this guitar makes me.
The most obvious and arguably the baddest upgrade is the Bigsby that has been added. It was professionally installed and the tune-o-matic functions immaculately in conjunction with the Bigsby.  As with any Bigsby added on a stop-tail Gibson, there is a hint of the end holes.  These are only visible upon close examination and they do little to nothing to effect the mojo of the guitar.  The guitar is in outstanding physical condition with no visible nicks or dings.  When you factor in the upgraded pickups, hardware and the Bigsby tremolo---this guitar is a one-of-a-kind.  Comes with the original hardshell case too!
UPDATE: As I research this model it has become clear that everything including the pickguard, back/switches plates AND the pickup selector were changed too from black-to-white.  The pickups were also previously identified as Lollar pickups, upon investigation they are some sort of boutique double-stacked P90.
Opening bid at $999---lowest price.------------
REFUNDS AND RETURNS: Due to previous fraudulent claims by a buyer, I do not offer refunds or returns.  eBay's claims process heavily favors the buyer and they do not/will not inspect or investigate items in the case the buyer misrepresents what they receive.
