You will be the only person in the world with this setup. The Microkorg XL is pretty good. Through the effects section of the Roland SP404 sampler it is better. The SP404 is pretty good for playing loops. With a Microkorg XL added on it is better.
I thought all the keytars available were kinda boring. If you want to look like every other schmuck that walked into Musicland Pty Ltd and bought something that looks like that bit of toothpaste that is stuck to the edge of the basin, then you're in the wrong place.
With this thing, which I made, you can run loops, play the tasty Microkorg XL sounds with effects (which the synth itself lacks), put your voice through the vocoder, and generally be a Total Living God of Rock.
Comes with the leads that make the magic, the manuals that make you smart, and the one-off bespoke build that made me a legend and will do the same for you. Also a very comfy strap to cope with the heavy sounds, the original gooseneck mic and a MUCH better Sure WH20 headset mic.
You may notice I took the mod and pitch wheels out of the Korg and put them in the neck.
You could easily add pot for volume or whatevs.
Both units run on AA batteries or power supplies (included).
So, let's do some numbers:
Microkorg XL goes for $350-$450.
Roland SP404 goes for around $400. This one includes 2 x 1Gb memory cards. So a bit more.
The Sure WH20 mic goes for around $140.How much extra for the genius of combining the two into a kickass, one-off keytar? Honestly, this should come with a packet of dingers. If you don't want the SP404, you could slot an iPad into the same space and then you would have a Minimoog, an M1, all sorts of synths and beat machines, all controlled by the Microkorg but with the Microkorg sounds to layer up with as well. Imagination, much?  Message me to split it up. Same goes with the mic.Now look at that photo of me again and tell me you don't want it, like BAD!
I just hope you can handle it. Not for wussies!
