These are a true classic - Gibson got it's mojo back pretty hard in the early 80's.
These killer 59-reissue 335's were some of the first guitars to roll out of the newly christened Nashville plant, and boy were they incredible. Highly consistent and very faithful recreations of the holy grail 1959 ES-335 dot neck. These early 80's Dots are now 35 years old and have aged very gracefully. They've become highly desirable and sought after by players and collectors alike. This example is in great condition and has the original "patent stamped" SHAW PAF pickups which sound incredible. It is 100% original with no cracks, no breaks and no repairs. Fully original parts right down to the "diamond" strap buttons. The original Hard Case is included and in fantastic shape. The original frets show very little playwear - tons of life left and no divots.
Only minor pick "swirls" in the finish, no significant wears or dings. The woods on this guitar are absolutely top shelf. The top is full of "blister" birdseye maple and the back is full of very tight grained "fiddleback" flame maple. The rosewood board has a very active grain that could be brazilian. The original Sunburst finish is in amazing shape throughout.
