What makes this guitar special: A late-70’s Gretsch model with a super cool on-board electronics array and slick, comfortable playability. The body shape on this one makes it super comfortable to play, with tapered edges on the front and back that allow the contours to fall perfectly against your playing position, and the built in phaser allows for some really neat adjustable effects. Made for only about a year, these are increasingly rare. Professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this one will arrive ready to play out of the case. Cosmetic condition: Pretty good shape for its age, with some light wear & tear throughout. There are various light scratches, dents, nicks, dings, and scuffs throughout, with a few chips along the edges, in addition to a very small chip in the finish behind the 7th fret. The compression/sustain side of the electronics array is pretty noisy, and does not function as intended. However, the phaser side is fully functional, and the guitar sounds great clean as well.Body: Bound maple body in orange stain finish with Gretsch plexi pickguard and wraparound stoptail bridge with individually adjustable saddles.Weight: 8 lb, 14.5 ozNeck: Medium profile rounded maple neck with black side dots and pearl square inlays. Bound ebony fingerboard is in terrific shape, and while frets show light wear, they still have a lot of life left in them. Bound headstock with pearl Gretsch logo and Grover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16” nut width with zero fret, and 24.6” scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine.Electronics: Dual humbuckers (Neck-7.93k ohms, Bridge-7.85k ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and onboard electronics array featuring a phaser (adjustable blend & rate) and compression (adjustable sustain). Single master volume & master tone control. The compression side of the electronics unit is noisy, and does not work as intended.Case: Original hard shell case included, along with vintage Gretsch strap.
