Vintage 1968 - 1969 Les Paul Standard

You're looking at a very nice example of the sought after and highly desirable late 60's Les Paul Goldtop
The early runs of the re-introduction of the Les Paul Standard model are truly amazing and very inspiring guitars.
There is some hearsay among collectors that the first few batches of these were made using 50's parts that were leftover.  While we certainly can't confirm that, we can confirm that this guitar plays, sounds and feels identical to a 1956 P-90 goldtop.  The woods, glue, paint and construction methods were virtually identical to the holy grail 50's Les Pauls that came out of Kalamazoo only a decade earlier than this example.   With those guitars pushing $100k and above, it makes sense to get in on a 68 or very early 69 while they're still around at reasonable prices.   This example is a real sweetheart of a guitar that plays, feels and sounds absolutely phenomenal.  It was played and is not a mint closet queen, so the price isn't $25k.   It is 99% original and unaltered with no breaks, which makes it an ideal collector piece that can also be taken on a gig without the need for a Xanex to calm your nerves.    For the particulars, please read on and scroll down for MANY high res detailed photos!  Thanks! This is a very early (January) 1969 issue with all of the desirable features including:
1950's "deep dish" top carve", SMALL HEADSTOCK, 1pc body, 1pc neck, long neck tennonThis guitar has a very nice BEEFY neck - wide as can be at 1 and 11/16th inches
It also boasts a nice early-mid 1950's FAT profile... pretty rare to find a nice fat neck LP from this eraThis example is 100% original (save a replaced jackplate)
