Mint, with no issues. The guitar plays and sounds excellent with a nice smaller R9 profile neck. One of the more aged of Gibson's recent models. Really has a great vintage look and feel. One of the better models you'll see from Gibson Custom Shop. This model is the AGED model but the COA is in fact SIGNED by Mike McCready! So in essence it is Signed and Aged but not on the guitar itself. The guitar weighs 8.8 lbs and is very balanced.

The Les Paul recipe for sustain - mahogany body with maple top This Gibson Custom Mike McCready '59 Les Paul yields the robust sustain you need for hot liquid solos and massive power chords. What's Gibson's secret? A major part of the Les Paul's tonewood recipe is the fusion of a maple top on a mahogany body. This combination is largely responsible for the legendary Les Paul sound. Custom Bucker pickups deliver vintage PAF tone Gibson Custom paid just as much attention to this Gibson Custom Mike McCready '59 Les Paul's electronics as they did to its aesthetics. Every part of its internal signal path is designed to yield dead-on 1959 Les Paul tone. Of course, it's next to impossible to find genuine '50s PAFs (even for Gibson). Instead, this Gibson Custom Mike McCready '59 Les Paul sports a pair of Gibson's Custom Bucker humbuckers, which are Gibson's most historically accurate PAF reissue ever. You won't find another Les Paul that comes as close to the original look, sound, and feel of a 1959 Les Paul! Mike McCready's 1959 Les Paul - a brief history Mike McCready's 1959 Les Paul was originally purchased by Jim Anderson of Van Morrison's band, Them, sometime between 1967 and 1969. In the late 1990s, after Jim had retired, he sold the guitar to a music store owner named Danny Mangold near Seattle, Washington. Danny was an acquaintance of Mike's and knew that he had been searching for an original '59 Les Paul. Mike took a fast liking to the instrument, even before he learned about its history. "I picked it up, played for a few seconds and said, 'Yeah, this is the one,'" says Mike. "It just felt right in my hands. I've used it on four or five albums since and take it on every tour." Now, thanks to this Gibson Custom Mike McCready '59 Les Paul, you can have your own vintage '59. Wrapping your hand around this guitar feels almost like playing the original.
