We're very pleased to welcome another beautiful Renown Maple 57 edition drum kit finished in Motor City Red, we could have sold the last one we had several times. For those of you not familiar with the series, Gretsch introduced this series around 2011 as a limited run of finishes celebrating the American 1950's automobile industry.The 1950's gave us Rock & Roll, the Cars were iconic and this was also the Gretsch boom time. In the 50's and 60's Gretsch would become one of the most iconic and recorded drum sounds, a legacy that continues right up to the current day, and to this day drummers still want that 'Great Gretsch Sound'The distinct feature of the Motor 57 finish is the embossed aluminium chevron that divides the two tone White and Motor City Red finish. At the centre of the white portion on every drum resides the stunning Gretsch Drums logo finished in aluminium.In true Gretsch style all the chrome work on this kit is triple chrome plated. (die cast hoops / rims mounts / mechanisms etc) The shells take design cues from the flagship USA Custom series - Silver Sealer, rounded 30 degree bearing edges, 6 ply maple shells for the toms and kick and a 10 ply Maple Shell for the Matching Snare drum which has a slightly different 45 degree bearing edge.This kit absolutely sings and will be a joy to play and own! Modernizations such as the GTS rims mounts, the double tom holder, contemporary sizes and bass drum spurs and a very high spec matching snare make this kit perfect for any live or studio situation and this look of this kit will turn heads. The contrasting Red and White is truly breath taking.This drum set is used but on inspection the kit is spotless, it definitely hasn't seen any live work. It is probably the best quality preloved kit we have handled to date.
