Gibson 64 Wide Control EB-3 Bass Guitar Project. (Jack Bruce) Specs!! This bass is amazing and is sending out an S.O.S to all Gibson Project Fans and Luthier's. Any Jack Bruce or Felix Pappalardi fans like myself know what this bass can do and the tones it can produce. That being said this jewel needs some love..some TLC to be exact. All of the electronics work and are original. Actually the pots date to 63 but the serial number puts it late 63 early 64. All of the hardware is also original but needs to be cleaned. They are very dirty and need some love. The headstock has the normal hairline crack behind the E tuner. Also the face of the headstock has a crack from the top corner to the lower corner...just through the headstock veneer. The neck also needs to be reset...it has two dowels on both the treble and bass side cutaways. The back of the neck from the base to the body has started to separate so a complete reset will be the best option. It also appears that there could be some spots with non original lacquer applied but I'm not 100% on that. This bass is being sold as a project so it must be understood that it has serious issues that need professional attention. That being said....DAMN this thing will be AWESOME when it's brought back to it's full potential. It will come with a gig bag. Don't miss your chance to pick this beauty up at a fraction due to it's need of a restoration...Thanks for the interest.
