AMERICAN MADE ALEMBIC ELAN CLEAR BLUE BASSMODEL # HLSBPJ2Beautiful Blue 4 String Collectors Bass I Have been playing bass for over 45 yrs...selling and buying too! I no longer play the four string bass ( I play 5 string now.) This bass will be a great addition to any collection because it is only going to go up in value and/or for a bass player who is going to play it, the sound is still great along with the value!!!! As you can see I have the original sheet that came with the Elan along with all details about the bass and the actual people who worked on this bass and as you know these basses are hand made. Also is shown from the Alembic website what it would cost to reproduce this model but since they don't make the elan anymore the closest model bass with the lowest beginning price is the essence which starts at 7500 base price with no upgrades ....with the upgrades it would be over 12 grand The elan was last produced in 1997.
