Original Gibson Echoplex digital Looper.Another gem from my R&D Department.I was R&D Manager at Trace Elliot when Gibson took over and my first task was to get the Echoplex back into production. Working closely with Kim Flint & Matthias Grob, the end result was Revision C of the unit which incorporated all of the previous production modifications from when they were made by Oberheim. This unit was built by me, (you can see my signature inside from October 2000) and has the latest LOOP IV software installed and the full 16MB of RAM allowing for up to 198 seconds of loop-time. This unit was never sold as it was the R&D reference model, hence the serial number RD REVC 01. It has been used occasionally to test software but has only had a few hours use in the 17 years since I built it so is as good as the day it was made. It has quite a few scratches on the top & bottom where it has been stored & moved about but the faceplate is in excellent condition and the internals as can be seen from the photos are immaculate.The full manual can be downloaded from my good friend Shane at British Amplifier Service and we both offer tech support for this model; I still sell the memory upgrades.It comes with the essential 7-Button footcontroller and a 20 foot heavy-duty cable to connect the 2 together. I've fully tested it with the TA50R, (also for sale in another listing) which can be seen in the last photo with overdubbed loops going through it. The LOOP IV software is extremely powerful allowing for cut & paste, multiple loops, reverse loops etc. and all EDP owners have access to Matthias who wrote the software for any operational questions.This is another unique unit due to it's very low usage and as such is difficult to price. I'm asking £490 or feel free to make a 'best offer'.It will be shipped for free via TNT 24hr in the UK but please ask for a quote for Scotland, N.I and international.
