Speaking of Country Gentlemen, Gretcci using the Beatles is famous, but the name of Country Gentleman is the nickname of Mr. Chet Atkins in the first place, when Chet stopped using Gretch in 1987 and moved to Gibson The name also became Gibson 's name (again by Gretc in 2007 after death of the Chet).
The body with a Venetian style cutaway is slightly larger than 335 and is 17 inches wide like the L - 5 and Tal Farlow. The thickness is 1.75 inches and is the same as Gibson's Shinline series.
Body material is Curly · Maple / Poplar / Maple's 3 ply · top, side is also Maple. Because the center block consists of balsa and mahogany, the weight is 3.84 kg. It is somewhat lighter than 335 etc., considering the weight on Bigsby installation.
The neck is an ebony fretboard with 3P, the scale is 25.5 ", and the bridge has also been carefully shaped with rosewood cutting out.The pickup is bigger than Gretc's super tron with a combination of Alnico humbucker, 492R / 490T , The sound character of this guitar is more like Gibson.The control is 1 master VOL, 2 VOL, 1 TONE.
There are many small scratches etc. due to the use of aging now.The neck is normal, the rod works well, the frets are 6 ~ 7 mountains left.
Although pickguards are missing, the whole is gorgeous atmosphere packed with gold parts and binding, fancy curly maple.
