Firstly…. we speak English. And please see our recent feedback. We posted a Muramatsu GX to Ohio, USA on a Monday, and it was delivered by Friday! One very happy customer! (April)And a Muramatsu EX III to a customer in CA in June, posted Tuesday, arrived Friday. We have for a sale a Yamaha YFL 451, sterling silver headjoint flute. E-mechanism, offset G.These are beautiful, semi-handmade intermediate flutes, quite sought after, with the popular hanging fruit Yamaha logo. The equivalent current model would be the YFL 577, which retails at about $3000.Perfect quality flute for an upgrading student, not wanting to go as far as paying $1800 or so for a used Muramatsu EX, or simial standard flute. We consider the YFL 451 to be the best value for money used Yamaha intermediate flute. Manufacturing standard of the much more expensive 6 series flutes. And massively cheaper than the current 577 model, with hardly, if any, detremental points, in comparison. That is why it is the only intermediate used Yamaha flute that we offer for sale. Condition of this flute:The flute is used, and as such has signs of that. There is light scuffing to the silver plating, and very light speckling (see 5th photo), which can be seen very close up.There is no tarnish, or discoloration, the surface is still very shiney. Pads:In great condition, many years left in them yet. If that wasn’t the case, we would have re-padded the flute.Dings/scratches:Only 2 ultra small (less than pinprick) dings on the headjoint. You would have to look closely to find them, but we must be 100% accuate with our description. Please see the video at 1.52m and 2.07m, and 4.10m to 4.14mCase:Very clean, hardly and external signs of use. Internally, very clean, and just normal signs of use.Playability:As with all our fully serviced flutes, it plays excellently. Please read about our servicing below. What we do before we put the flute up for sale:All our flutes go through a thorough quality controlled process; most of our staff come from Japanese manufacturers, whose factories are ISO 9001 standard. We stick to those kind of quality standards. We are not a high street music shop that has general service staff, all our staff are dedicated flute repair specialists. All flutes are stripped down, every pad and tone hole checked, cleaned, springs checked, all parts and felts, oiled, and any replaced parts are sourced direct from the manufacturer's factory over here. After all servicing and maintenance, we leave the instrument for at least 2 weeks, and then it is checked thoroughly again. This is to give chance for all the parts and pads to settle down. There are no short cuts in flute servicing and maintenance.Only once our instruments have been signed off by both our Master Technician (Toshi-san), and an orchestral player (for playability), does the instrument go for sale. Flute Video:Please search for ‘YFL 451 japanwoodwind.com’ on YouTube to see a video of the flute, and many photos. Plus a guide to customs & delivery.Or, please click on this link (Ebay are removing some links within auctions in June, so the link may cease to work): We have English speaking staff, and can answer any questions. Please feel free to ask - we’re sure you’ll have questions regarding delivery times & customs charges. Please note that there may well be cheaper flutes of the same model, on Ebay, from Japan. But mostly these are unserviced, and possibly bought as “junk” status, from local Japanese used musical instrument stores. We are not a general used goods dealer….we are a professional, woodwind specialist company, made up of only highly skilled technicians that have been through woodwind repair school, and internal training with one of the big Japanese manufacturers (e.g. Muramatsu, Alytus, Miyazawa, Sankyo etc.). Worldwide customers must be 100% sure of the condition and quality of what they are ordering, and we aim to take that worry out of the equation for you.SHIPPING:We ship instruments using Japan Post EMS Service, which is fully trackable online. Delivery times: USA - Recently 3-4 days (to Chicago & CA), but obviously we can’t guarantee this speed. So please allow about a week to be on the safe side.Europe - the package usually arrives in your Customs Department in about 3 business days. It then really depends on your cutoms clearing time. Recently, packages have arrived to our USA customers about 7 business days after the order was placed. The UK - average 7-9 days from the order being placed. But you can see on your tracking info. that your instrument is being processed through customs, and is safe, even if Customs are running a little slowly.Australia - the package usually arrives in your Customs Department in about 3 business days. Customs will then send you a declaration to complete, which you will return to them, with a copy/link of the Ebay auction as evidence of the purchase value. We cannot guarantee these times exactly, so please do not give us negative feedback if you Customs Department has a backlog, and clearance takes a few more days. CUSTOMS DUTY: We find www.dutycalculator.com to be the best and easiest way to calculate the import duty payable by you on delivery. Note to dealers: We already supply exclusively to dealers in the UK, but for European/USA dealers looking to buy bulk student flute packages such as Yamaha 211,311,411 series etc., minimum order 20 flutes, please conact us. If we don’t supply a company in your territory, we may be able to supply.
