Rare Vintage 1984 Hamer Phantom A7 Electric Guitar Black Finish

What makes this guitar special: A super cool USA made shredder strat, outfitted with a Kahler trem and unique triple-bucker/single-coil pickup combination. This one sports a super comfortable slim mahogany neck, one of the last iterations of this guitar before they made the switch to a maple neck. Built to suit the era, the A7 features an onboard midi pickup with a variety of tones and effects possible in tandem with a Roland controller. Unfortunately, this one is missing the 24-pin connector cable so we can’t speak to whether or not that portion is working, but the guitar side functions great! Professionally setup and inspected by the experts at Cream City Music, this beauty will arrive ready to play out of the case. Cosmetic condition: Terrific shape for its age, with just some light marks from handling and standard playwear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, and scuffs, but nothing too unsightly. The underside of the headstock shows some hanger rash, and the body edges show some small chips here and there as well.Body: Contoured, double cutaway solid mahogany body in black finish with single ply white pickguard Kahler locking tremolo bridge.Weight: 7 lb, 13.9 ozNeck: Slim mahogany neck with aged white side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 11/16” locking nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with white Hamer USA logo and Schaller tuners with black buttons. Rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and frets show only light wear with a lot of life left in them. Neck is straight and plays great up and down the length of the fingerboard.Electronics: Triple-bucker in the bridge position, with single-coil pickup in the neck position. 5-way pickup selector switch and black etched knobs, 2x volume, 1x tone. Untested top-mounted MIDI pickup with tophat knob controls. 3-way selector switch allows for switching between guitar/both/midi.Please note: A 24-pin MIDI cable and controller are required to use the MIDI portion of this guitar. Neither is included in this listing.Case: Original hard shell case included, along with original tremolo arm.
