Old vintage 60's Gretsch Tenessean / Chet Atkins semi hollowbody guitar 1964

Gretsch Tennessean c1964
Summary - a lovely example of this historic guitar. In reasonable condition (see notes later for details) and very playable, unlike many from that era. According to research the serial number indicates that this was made c1964, maybe earlier as the serial number is a bit difficult to read.Supplied with an oldish unbranded, rectangular non original hard case..Condition:
Body - very good condition for the year.
There are a few very very minor scratches and dents here and there - please see photos for details. I'm not going to catalogue every scratch, it's an old guitar with plenty of wear and tear. This is NOT a museum example, but it is a good example.
On the rear there are some deep scratches and scuff. Neck - where the neck joins the body on the top near the switches there appears to signs of some sort of activity. Evidence of black paint here. Not sure if the neck has been removed and re-set or just someone has been a bit messy with a cosmetic repair. I don't know so don't ask. The neck angle and playability, intonation etc seems all fine for a guitar of this type and age.
The rest of the back of the neck is fairly clean.Fretboard has loads of signs of wear and tear. I have parted teh strings and taken a photo to give you an idea.
Frets - Signs of fret wear. Not sure if it's had a re-fret, they look original to me.Hardwear - the hardwear is in fair condition. Tarnished, signs of wear, light rust in places.Playability:
This guitar has just had a legendary Guitar Mania service so it plays as good as possible for a guitar of this age and type. It has a reasonably low action, and has had the intonation, truss rod and action adjusted so it plays superb. AND sounds great too.Electrics:
We have tested and played the guitar and all the electrics are in reasonable working order at the time of testing however one MUST expect the odd scratchy pot noise or crackly switch / jack socket from time to time.
