Custom Built by World Renowned Luthier Anthony Huvard in 1982 using premium USA Parts.

Pickups: USA Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups
Controls: 1 Volume, 2 Tone (USA CTS pots), 5 way selector switch (USA Switchcraft)
, all cloth wiring
Other: Sperzel Locking Tuners , aged 3 Ply pickguard, aged plastic , aged hardware
Weighs 7.75 lbs and comes with its early '80s black hardcase
Here is a fantastic 1982 Custom Build from Luthier Anthony Huvard. Known as "Tony the Guitar Maker", Huvard has traveled all over the world teaching aspiring apprentice luthiers the art of guitar building and is known for his amazing acoustic & electric guitar builds . He built this fabulous strat for a customer in Virginia in the early 1980's.
Huvard ordered the Fender USA strat body direct from Fender California in 1982 (see the cool Metal Emblem in back of body which Fender did during the Dan Smith early '80s era on Fender parts sold to dealers).
For the neck, Huvard already had a custom USA neck he got a few years earlier from his California buddy Phil Kubicki (Phil Kubicki worked at Fender in the early 1970's & later in his career started his own company making the famous FACTOR basses). This neck is one of the sweetest maple necks I've ever played. The back of the neck finish is hand rubbed oil. It has a fast slim C profile with a dark Ebony fretboard, 10" radius with medium jumbo frets and graphite nut. It feels just like the early USA Charvel necks. This vintage neck alone is worth over $600.
The original body was painted white, but I recently had it professionally stripped & repainted in a super thin skin Nitrocellulose Fiesta Red (also has white nitro base coat) & then Heavy Reliced with lots of checking lines and paint chipped away. For the pickups it now has USA Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials, USA CTS pots, Switchcraft 5 way switch, Russian paper in oil capacitor, all cloth wiring, and aged metal & plastic parts . Also added F*#nder logo to headstock . I don't use the tremolo so I have the bridge blocked (with piece of wood as a spacer) for better sustain. She stays in tune like a rock! The tremolo arm is included.
This is a BAD ASS Strat . Plays fantastic with nice low action. To me this fast neck plays and feels like the late 70's USA Charvel necks. Plug in into your favorite tube amp and the Fender Texas Specials roar to life with that classic SRV tone. Weighs a very comfortable 7.75 pounds and comes with is early '80s back hardcase.
