This SG needed some work when I first got it from the previous owner. There have been quite a few upgrades but please read the full description as these are all very high quality parts and the improvements are relevant no matter what your style.Cosmetically this guitar is about 7 or 8 out of 10. There are a few nicks and scratches you can see in the pictures. And one notable missing piece of finish on the neck near the headstock. The finish had bubbled and peeled there when I received it, I had that expertly repaired and sealed with a clear coat, just a miscolor now but completely smooth. I would cal this an excellent "players" guitar though.Upgrades/Changes:The following are things that were in rough shape from oxidation or not functioning well that were replaced.Pickups: Seymour '59 Humbucker SetControl Panel: All USA made expertly by Jonesy Blues. CTS Pots, oil in paper capacitors, Switchcraft jack and switch. All wired 50s style.Knobs: Good Quality Witch Hat style with metal name insertsBridge: Old one heavily oxidized, replaced with solid nickel plated brass bridge. Has helped the sustain on the guitar quite a bit.Tuners: Old Gibson ones did not stay in tune, replaced with Grover solid tuners. The old tuners used 2 screws and the new ones only use 1. The second screw was put back in place for each and you can hardly notice.Other notes:One thing I always like to mention is the neck. This is definitely a chunkier 50s style neck, so be mindful of that when purchasing. The guitar sounds and plays fantastic. The reason I am getting rid of it is mostly the neck. I was never able to bond with the fatter neck. It has been replaced with a 61 reissue that is perfect for me, hate to see this one go but it's definitely a fantastic players guitar with awesome tone.Comes with a hard case and schaller strap locks. Hard case was scraped up a good bit from previous owner, and combo lock was removed/not working. Case is completely functional as a normal hard case.Because this has been modified and such, I will accept returns, buyer pays return shipping.
