Here is an AMAZING Gronitz 5 Valve EEb tuba. WOW! The extraordinary Gronitz tubas are seldom seen in the US, but they are among the finest (and most expensive!) tubas made in Europe. This horn is an incredible EEb tuba. It is a very compact horn in physical size, but it has a massive sound and plays very open. 4 pistion valves are super faast and tight. The 5th rotary valve appears to lower the pitch by a flat fifth-presumably to correct intonation in the really low register. This particular instrument is in excellent condition. There are a few tiny dings and a minor scar in the bell where we removed a wrinkle, but nothing serious. Valves are super fast and tight. An AMAZING tuba! Pics tell the rest of the story!
