Up for sale is my dream vintage Stratocaster, but I need some space! It's a 1979. The Antigua finish on this example is incredible, with all the right wear and checking. Has a set of Lollar Dirty Blackface pickups in it which are miles beyond what Fender was putting into these guitars in the late 70's. This, unlike many 70's strats, is a KILLER, lightweight example (7.5 pounds) with a nice medium-chunky neck. It has recently been refretted with 6105 frets and had a nitro refinish on the fretboard (a must when refretting 70's Fenders). It's a hardtail, and is all stock minus the pickups. It comes with the OHSC which is in good condition, as well as the original bridge cover. This is the best strat I've ever played or owned (Out of several Fender, Nash, MJT, etc.). Hard tail strats are the best kept secret in the guitar world. Its like having a Tele in the bridge but a strat in all other positions. I will include a set of 70's black pickup covers if you want to make it look stock - the solid white covers are an homage to the Lace Sensors that were in this guitar for most of its life.No returns.
